Trade Secretary Ramon Lopez (center) says the recent meeting of the trade ministers of the Regional Comprehensive Economic Partnership participating countries resolved almost all remaining outstanding issues of the trade deal. The trade ministers of the Association of Southeast Asian Nations and its five partners—Australia, China, Japan, New Zealand, and South Korea—advanced the negotiation during the virtual 8th RCEP Intersessional Ministerial Meeting on Aug. 27, which paves the way to its signing by November 2020.
