Camp Olivas, Pampanga—PATROL Party-list Rep. Jorge Antonio Bustos will facilitate the funding for the construction of new multipurpose hall building of the regional police headquarters after it was recently gutted down.
Bustos, who was among the guests during the groundbreaking for the new Bayanihan Multipurpose Center, vowed to raise funds for the construction of the police building, which will house the studio of the PNP Rektang Konek Aksyon Agad (RKAA) program.
“Cong. Bustos will facilitate the funding for the construction of the multipurpose hall that will also house a state-of-the-art studio of RKAA,” said Atty. Abner Zamora ll, Patrol spokesman and chief legal officer.
The building was totally razed early this month due to faulty electrical wiring. It was also used as the food bank of the Central Luzon Philippine National Police, where millions worth of food and non-food items were stored and repacked for distribution in areas badly hit by disasters.
Labor Secretary Silvestre H Bello III also attended the event coinciding with the first-year anniversary of the RKAA. He presided over the awarding of police personnel and stakeholders who have contributed to the success of the PNP program.
The RKAA is a multimedia interactive program of the PNP, which enhances the image-building capability program of different government agencies by providing quick public services to the Filipino community, both local and abroad.
It is aired simulcast from Monday to Friday, 12:30 to 2 PM from the RKAA Studio, Legal Service Bldg. in Camp Crame, Quezon City and was aired from the the Rektang Konek Studio, PRO3 Makatao Hall in Camp Captain Julian Olivas, City of San Fernando, Pampanga before it burned down.
RKAA is also being aired over UNTV and Radio La Verdad (1350kHz), untvweb.com, UNTV Facebook Page, PNP Facebook Page, Police Community Affairs and Development Group Facebook Page, PNP Global PCR Facebook Page, and Rektang Konek-Aksyon Agad – You Tube channel.
A firetruck was also donated to Camp Olivas, the first firefighting unit since this regional police headquarters was established.
Pampanga fourth district Rep. Juan Pablo ‘Rimpy” Bondoc also pledged to construct a PRO3 Koi fishpond as part of the eco-tourism attraction inside the camp.
Police BGen. Rhodel O. Sermonia said RKAA will continue its objective for genuine and dedicated service.
