Residents eke out a living by catching fish or harvesting water spinach (kangkong) in the Marikina river at the boundary of Marikina City and San Mateo, Rizal. The province of Rizal is one of the areas that will be placed under the more liberal general community quarantine due to the COVID-19 pandemic from May 16 to 31, 2020.
