The Energy Department is seeking competitive offers to develop the Mindoro-Cuyo oil and gas basin under the government’s Philippine Conventional Energy Contracting Program.
The department asked for counter proposals from prospective bidders to develop nominated area no. 5 (Mindoro-Cuyo basin) covering 1.332 million hectares.
“Deadline for the submission of documents by applicants (counter-proponents)—60 calendar days from date of publication by the nominating party,” the department said.
Under the PCECP, awarding of service contracts are conducted either through the competitive selection process or via nomination.
Interested companies under the nomination process may submit their letter of intent for the proposed area for nomination. The agency will then notify the proponents to publish their nomination, which will be subject to challenge within 60 days from publication.
