Something healthy to start the year right

After a series of holiday feasts and parties, of throwing diet plans to the window for the sake of another serving of crispy pata and kare-kare and chicken cordon bleu, many are now back to or about to start healthy eating habits—those that have more fresh vegetables and seafood in the mix.

When looking to eat healthier than usual, Japanese have plenty of suggestions. Kitsho restaurant in Hotel Jen Manila meets this requirement with new dishes that are on the healthy side as well as on the tasty side of the spectrum.

Using only the freshest catch and farm produce, the new dishes reflect the meticulous care and execution that the Kitsho food and beverage team has given to every dish they prepare.

First on the new menu items is the two-in-one treat Philadelphia Roll, a special tempura rolled in smoked salmon. It offers the crunchiness of tempura and the succulence of salmon in one bite.

Sushi lovers, meanwhile, would particularly relish the Geisha Maki Roll, a new addition to the restaurant’s wide array of sushi choices. The new item features marinated kamaboko salad in a fresh salmon roll. The ala carte option is priced at P788 (VAT included).

Sushi Sando combines two favorite seafood items, tuna and salmon, marinated in spicy Aokakesu spicy paste for that mouthwatering zing. The marinade brings out the natural flavors of both tuna and salmon.

Seafood aficionados are in for a treat with the Milky Way Roll. The dish may have an intergalactic name but all the deliciousness of marinated tuna and salmon are wrapped up in slices of squid—seafood heaven in a single plate.

Salmon sashimi salad is given a new twist when marinated salmon is drenched in a special spicy dressing and served on a plate of ice. The coolness of this dish assures diners that all the moisture and juiciness are intact. It is priced at P898 (VAT included).
