57 BARMM cops face hazing raps—Tuaño

THREE more members of the police force in Bangsamoro Administrative Region in Muslim Mindanao (BARMM) will face criminal and administrative charges, bringing a total to 57 policemen implicated in the hazing of recruits in Lamitan, Basilan, the Philippine National Police (PNP) said on Friday. 

In a press briefing at Camp Crame, PNP spokesman Brig. Gen. Randulf Tuaño said 12 of the respondents have been accounted for while 18 others were on their way to the BARMM police headquarters.  The rest are still at large.

“Within the day, if the unaccounted 24 do not report to the regional headquarters, they will be reported as AWOL (absent without leave). This is another case involving them regarding hazing,” he added. 

Tuaño also bared that in connection with the administrative investigation the National Police Commission (NAPOLCOM) has issued an order to take cognizance on their administrative aspect of the case.
