TWO New People’s Army (NPA) guerillas on Wednesday surrendered to government authorities through the efforts of the municipal government of Libmanan, Camarines Sur.
The surrender was facilitated by the Local Peace Engagement Team (LPET) of the local government, with the support of the Army’s 502nd Ready Reserve Infantry Battalion and the 502nd) Community Defense Center.

The two former rebels, identified by the aliases “Bruno” and “Lucky,” were persuaded to lay down their arms and return to the fold of the law.
Following their surrender, the two were subjected to debriefing and will undergo documentation and processing to enable them to avail of benefits under the government’s Enhanced Comprehensive Local Integration Program.
