The Department of Agrarian Reform has distributed electronic land titles (e-titles) to over 2,500 agrarian reform beneficiaries across the MIMAROPA region and freed the farmers from P45 million in land amortization debt during the simultaneous distribution of e-titles and certificates of condonation with release of mortgage (CoCRoMs).
Agrarian Reform Secretary Conrado Estrella III said the region-wide initiative marked a significant step in strengthening land tenure security and easing the long-standing financial burden of farmers in Marinduque, Oriental Mindoro, Occidental Mindoro, Romblon and Palawan.
The initiative is aligned with the directive of President Ferdinand Marcos Jr. to hasten land tenure security and agrarian debt condonation nationwide, particularly in rural areas where farmers remain most vulnerable.
Estrella said freeing farmers from debt while ensuring clear land ownership empowers them to invest with confidence, improve productivity, and fully reap the rewards of their hard work.
