The respected educator has since welcomed the “tremendous honor” to receive this recognition from the King.

“While most of my professional life has been spent in the UK, my roots remain firmly in the Philippines. I carry with me the values I grew up with—resilience, humility, hard work, and a deep belief in the power of education to transform lives,” David said.

“This award is not just for me… It is for every Filipino teacher working tirelessly in classrooms, whether overseas or back home. I hope it inspires more of us to dream boldly, lead with purpose, and carry the Philippine flag with pride,” he added.

According to London South Learning Partnership, David has a “distinguished track record of school transformation and leadership excellence.”

His notable roles have included Lead Ofsted Inspector and School Improvement Adviser.

In fact, the Granton Primary School executive headteacher has successfully led multiple schools from underperformance to Outstanding Ofsted ratings, reversed financial deficits, enhanced curriculum delivery, fostered aspirational school cultures, drove significant improvements in pupil outcomes, and secured national recognition.

These include a TES Primary School of the Year award and the National Pupil Premium High Aspiration Award
