US defense firm Anglicotech eyes expansion in Aurora

Virginia-based defense supply chain company Anglicotech LLC has expressed continued investment interest in the Aurora Pacific Economic Zone and Freeport Authority (APECO) to pursue defense and security-related opportunities.

APECO president and chief executive Gil Taway IV met with Anglicotech chief executive David Cooper on Dec. 19, 2025 to discuss the company’s long-term outlook and continued engagement in the Philippines.

The meeting followed a site inspection of the ecozone in Casiguran, Aurora, conducted by Cooper and Anglicotech Philippines country manager Edmund Rustia on Aug. 16, 2025.

The discussions highlighted Anglicotech’s plan to implement a measured, multi-phase investment approach.

The strategy aims to build on existing operational strengths while positioning the company for future expansion as market conditions mature.

The parties said these investments align with national security priorities, regional stability and sustainable economic development.

Taway said the engagement reflects a shared understanding that defense-related investments require stability, clear policies and strong governance.

He noted that APECO remains committed to providing a conducive environment for responsible defense-related industries that drive economic growth and job creation in Aurora.

Anglicotech has operated in Subic since 2024. The company provides logistics, C5ISR (command, control, computers, communications, cyber, intelligence, surveillance and reconnaissance) and foreign military sales support to the Armed Forces of the Philippines and the US Department of Defense.
