Marriott International has expanded its Cebu footprint with the opening of Fairfield by Marriott Cebu Mactan, a hotel aimed at business and leisure travelers seeking convenience, comfort, and quick airport access.
The 196-room property officially opened on Dec. 19 at the Mahi Center in Mactan Economic Zone 1, Barangay Ibo. Guests are just two to three minutes from Mactan-Cebu International Airport and the Mactan Export Processing Zone.
The newly opened Mahi Mall at the base of the hotel adds easy access to dining, coffee, and daily essentials.
The hotel brings Fairfield’s streamlined design and practical comforts to one of Cebu’s busiest gateways. Rooms come in Standard Twin, Standard Queen, and Deluxe Queen categories, with high-speed Wi-Fi, ergonomic workspaces, and plush bedding. A 24-hour fitness center serves guests on tight schedules.
“We are pleased to introduce Fairfield by Marriott to Mactan, an island destination that balances business dynamism with natural paradise,” said Duke Nam, Marriott International’s regional vice president for Korea, Vietnam, and the Philippines.
He said the opening underscores Marriott’s confidence in Mactan as a key Visayas gateway and its continued expansion in high-demand Philippine destinations. The hotel is part of the Marriott Bonvoy loyalty program.
Dining centers on DAVOS, an all-day restaurant exclusive to the Mactan property, serving local seafood alongside international dishes. The name draws from the Cebuano word dabos, meaning abundant. For travelers on the move, The Market offers a 24/7 grab-and-go selection of sandwiches, salads, pastries, and beverages.
The hotel also caters to meetings and celebrations, with a 250-square-meter event space that can be divided into three rooms or combined for larger gatherings, supported by modern audiovisual facilities.
