Cebu Pacific is collaborating with the National Bureau of Investigation (NBI), the Department of Trade and Industry (DTI), and the Civil Aeronautics Board (CAB) to crack down on unauthorized flight resellers.
The airline recently discovered a fraudulent scheme where stolen credit cards were used to purchase flights, which were then converted into “Travel Funds” and illegally resold to unsuspecting passengers.
In response, Cebu Pacific has canceled all bookings confirmed by partner banks as fraudulent. Affected passengers have been notified and are advised to rebook through the official website using valid payment methods.
The airline urges the public to use only official channels—such as the CEB mobile app or accredited partners—to ensure legitimate bookings and the lowest fares.
Passengers affected by the cancelled bookings have been sent notifications and are advised to book new flights through www.cebupacific.air.com using a valid and authorized form of payment should they wish to proceed with their travel plans.
Cebu Pacific strongly reminds all passengers to book their flights only through CEB’s official website, mobile app, or accredited travel partners to ensure access to the airline’s guaranteed lowest fares and legitimate booking services.
