Centro Nippon Fruehauf Cooltech Inc. and Sojitz Fuso Philippines Corp. have launched the Fuso F-resh Refrigerated Van—a cold-chain transport solution aimed at the food, pharmaceutical and logistics sectors.
The vehicle is built on the Fuso Canter FE71 chassis and features refrigerated body technology from Nippon Fruehauf Japan.
The partnership combines Japanese engineering standards with local manufacturing to address the increasing demand for temperature-controlled transport in the Philippines.
The refrigerated body utilizes extruded polystyrene for insulation and lightweight aluminum panels that are fully recyclable.
These materials are designed to maintain thermal stability while supporting sustainability goals. Cooling is managed by the C-Temp refrigeration system, which uses a Japanese compressor to maintain consistent temperatures in tropical conditions.
Centro Nippon Fruehauf Cooltech Inc. general manager Jun Dumlao said the F-resh Van demonstrates what a strong partnership can deliver.
Dumlao said Fuso provides a dependable base with the Canter FE71, while his company contributes world-class body craftsmanship guided by Japanese design standards.
He said their goal is to safeguard every delivery by ensuring products remain fresh and secure.
The units have passed Japanese Industrial Standard tests for strength and insulation. To support long-term value, the vehicle includes a two-year or 100,000-kilometer warranty and after-sales support, he said.
