PNB launches e-Send digital remittance service for US market

Philippine National Bank (PNB) has modernized its digital remittance capabilities with the launch of PNB e-Send, a platform designed to streamline money transfers from the United States to the Philippines.

The new service, operated through the bank’s US affiliate, PNB Remittance Centers Inc, replaces the previous PNB Web Remit system as part of a broader effort to upgrade digital channels for overseas Filipinos.

The platform allows users to register and monitor transactions across smartphones, tablets and laptops. By utilizing an integrated digital interface, the bank aims to provide 24-hour access for Filipinos sending funds for household needs, bill payments and family support.

PNB International Banking and Remittance Group first senior vice president and head Muffet Flores-Caculitan said the service was developed to address the specific needs of Filipinos abroad by prioritizing simplicity and security.

She said that every transfer represents a vital connection to home and carries significant emotional value for the sender and recipient.

The service includes enhanced security features and real-time tracking to provide transparency throughout the transfer process.

Users can choose from various payout options including direct credit to any Philippine bank account or transfers to mobile e-wallets. The bank is offering competitive exchange rates and low service fees to remain a preferred choice in the competitive remittance market.

To encourage adoption of the new platform, PNB introduced the “Miles to Home” promotion. The program enables frequent remitters to earn Mabuhay Miles on eligible transactions sent from the United States.

This incentive is designed to provide additional value by converting regular financial support into travel rewards for users.

Remittances remain a cornerstone of the Philippine economy, and the transition to e-Send reflects a shift toward digital-first solutions in the global banking sector. The bank continues to focus on integrating convenience with high security standards to maintain financial links between overseas workers and their families in the Philippines.
