SEVENTEEN makes history as first K-pop group to perform on NPR’s Tiny Desk

SEVENTEEN just added another milestone to their resume. The K-pop supergroup made their Tiny Desk Concert debut on Tuesday, becoming the first Korean idol group to perform in the long-running NPR series.

“This is the very first K-pop band to play behind the Tiny Desk,” NPR said.

Fresh from their U.S. show in Washington, D.C., members Dino, Seungkwan, Joshua, Vernon and Mingyu stopped by the NPR Music office for what may be the smallest crowd they’ve ever performed for.

The nearly 30-minute set featured band arrangements of fan-favorite songs, including “Super,” “Darl+ing,” “_World,” “To You,” “SOS,” “Rock With You,” “Clap,” “Hot,” and a high-energy finale of “Very Nice.”

“We were honestly, like, super nervous to perform in such a setting,” SEVENTEEN said. “We’ve never experienced such an environment so thank you for making us feel so much comfortable.”

DK was originally set to join but had to sit out after losing his voice days before the recording.

SEVENTEEN is currently on their New_ world tour, with a stop scheduled at the Philippine Sports Stadium in Bulacan on March 21, 2026. However, Jeonghan, Hoshi, Woozi and Wonwoo remain on hiatus to fulfill South Korea’s mandatory military service.
