Asked what he sees about himself if he ever decides to retire, Vice Ganda is quick to answer without hesitation.

“That’s something I haven’t entertained in my mind yet,” he says. “For one, I’m still enjoying what I do. I can still handle everything. Although there are times when I also get tired. But mentally, I still like it!”
The idea of slowing down is not something he is considering for now, especially with how much he still enjoys his work.
“I’m so obsessed with doing what I do now. I’m so obsessed with ‘It’s Showtime.’ I’m so excited to do movies every year. I still want to do concerts. And more importantly, my audience still loves me. So, retirement at this point is impossible to happen.”
“I don’t want to limit myself. I can still see myself doing a lot of things. I believe that I still have undiscovered potential. You see, you grow older, right? There are things that you can’t do anymore unlike in your younger days,” he adds.
“But sometimes, you’ll get surprised to learn that there are things you haven’t done in the past which you discovered you can do now. You’ll realize you like it actually. So, all of us have a lot of unrealized potentials that, if we discover and unleash, will make life sweeter—and you won’t mind aging every year.”
Vice shared a more personal realization after turning 50, noting that age has brought physical changes, including no longer being able to wear heels as before. He said this comes with natural limitations but does not see them as something negative.
He expressed gratitude for his life, saying he feels blessed and content as he and Ion Perez, along with their mothers, remain healthy.
On political talks, he dismissed the idea, saying he has no plans to enter politics despite receiving offers.
“They’re just wasting their time. Actually, I have lots of offers, but no. It’s not my take,” he said.

In a recent television interview, Jennylyn Mercado was asked about whether she feels pressure to have another child before turning 40.
“Well, actually, my husband Dennis (Trillo) and I still have a frozen embryo in Texas. So, if ever we decide to have another baby, it’s just there,” she said.
For now, the couple is focused on their family life.
“We’re still enjoying Dylan. Our focus is on her since her brothers Jazz and Calix are older now and are soon to enter their teens.”
The frozen embryo she refers to was originally intended for a planned surrogacy arrangement in 2021, though she later became pregnant naturally.
“The embryo is still okay. It can be implanted if we ever already want to have another child. It’s just frozen, but anytime that we want, it’s ready. It can be a surrogate again, depending on if I can still handle it,” Jennylyn said.
