THE Civil Aviation Authority of the Philippines (CAAP) has conducted a workshop to enhance the agency’s comprehension of international oversight standards.
This initiative aims to ensure that the Philippines continues to meet global aviation safety benchmarks, reinforcing the country’s commitment to aligning with established safety protocols in the aviation sector.
The three-day workshop, commencing on Nov. 17 in Paranaque City, plays a crucial role in the Authority’s preparations for the 2026 Universal Safety Oversight Audit Program (USOAP) of the International Civil Aviation Organization (ICAO).
It also reflects directives from President Ferdinand Marcos Jr. and Transportation Secretary Giovanni Lopez to CAAP leadership led by director general Raul Del Rosario to strengthen the country’s aviation oversight capabilities and ensure compliance with international safety standards.
