ENHYPEN donates P4 million to support PH flood relief

K-pop boy group ENHYPEN pledged ₩100 million (about P4 million) to assist communities affected by recent flooding in the Philippines.

On Thursday, the group’s agency Belift Lab announced that the donation will be coursed through the Hope Bridge Korea Disaster Relief Association in partnership with the Philippine Disaster Resilience Foundation.

In a joint statement, the seven-member act said its decision was influenced by their strong connection to the Philippines, which hosted the group’s first-ever stadium concert in Southeast Asia earlier this year.

“We became aware of the recent severe flooding affecting many communities across the Philippines, a country that has long been close to our hearts,” ENHYPEN said.

“We wanted to offer our support, even in a small way, and sincerely hope the contributions will be used to help those in need and assist in the ongoing recovery efforts,” the statement continued.

Belift Lab added that it hopes the donation “will provide meaningful help to those affected by the recent floods.”

Composed of Jungwon, Heeseung, Jay, Jake, Sunghoon, Sunoo, and Ni-ki, ENHYPEN is known for hits such as “Bite Me,” “Fever,” and “Polaroid Love.” The group last performed in the country at the Philippine Sports Stadium in Bulacan in March as part of its “Walk the Line” world tour.
