AJ Raval is setting the record straight on long-running accusations that she was the third party in the breakup of Aljur Abrenica and Kylie Padilla.
In an interview with Boy Abunda earlier this week, the actress said the rumors caused her deep emotional distress, especially since she believes she was wrongfully accused.
“Masakit yun para sa akin. Parang tinatanong ko yung sarili ko kung bakit ako yung nagsu-suffer sa kasalanan na hindi ko naman ginawa, paulit-ulit,” she admitted.
AJ said she eventually learned to cope with the bashing, realizing that public perception will eventually move on.
“Naisip ko, hindi naman sa akin umiikot yung mundo, so bakit ako magpaapekto? Kaya deadma na lang,” she explained.
She emphasized that Aljur’s relationship with Kylie had already ended before she entered his life.
“Nung time na pinupuntahan kami ni Aljur sa bahay, hindi naman po sila nagsasama nung time na yun. Hiwalay na sila––nasa Batangas na si Aljur,” she said, adding, “Hindi ko po gagawin kung may kinakasama si Aljur––hindi po talaga. Napagbintangan lang ako.”
Now a hands-on mom, AJ said she looks forward to openly enjoying family life.
“Actually, sobrang excited ko ngayon… lalo na ngayon mag-Christmas, maraming park… Gusto ko yun ipa-experience sa mga kids,” she shared.
