The Department of Trade and Industry (DTI) on Sunday unveiled its 2025 Noche Buena price guide, holding the prices of 129 out of 256 select holiday products unchanged from their 2024 levels, in line with a government directive to ensure affordability for Filipino families.
The guide, covering 14 categories of holiday food items, also included price rollbacks on six products following consultations with manufacturers.
Some items are now priced even lower than last year. For example, CDO American Style Ham 500g was reduced from P174 to P170, King Sue Piña Ham 800g dropped from P527 to P520 and King Sue Piña Ham 1kg fell from P643 to P637.
King Sue Sweet Ham 800g was slightly adjusted from P450 to P449, Danes Queso de Bola 500g from P310 to P300, and Sunshine Sweet Style Spaghetti Sauce 500g from P52 to P48.50.
These adjustments allowed four ham products to return to their 2024 prices, while select queso de bola and spaghetti sauce are now priced below last year’s figures.
Trade Secretary Ma. Cristina A. Roque said the agency is taking proactive steps to help Filipino consumers prepare for the holidays. “With the price freeze on basic necessities and the adjusted prices reflected in the new guide, the DTI continues to follow the President’s call to keep essential goods and holiday items within reach of Filipino families,” Roque said.
