The Philippine Marine Corps (PMC) marked its 75th anniversary on Friday with a charity drive supporting victims of Typhoon Tino and other Marine welfare programs.
The event turned the celebration into an act of service and solidarity.
President Ferdinand Marcos Jr. praised the Marines’ “valor, devotion, and unyielding spirit of service,” noting their evolution from a small volunteer force to a modern defense unit protecting the archipelago.
The anniversary featured a “Commemorative Charity Event” and “Pay per Plate” gathering, with proceeds directed to humanitarian causes. A “Commemorative Package for a Cause” was also launched, including a Treasury Book and a special 75th Anniversary Coin.
Funds raised will support Typhoon Tino victims, educational aid for children of fallen Marines, and logistics for troops deployed in remote areas under the Wounded Warrior Program.
“These efforts stand as a testament to the Marines’ dedication—to their comrades, countrymen, and the nation,” said PMC Commandant MGen. Vicente MAP Blanco III.
