Influx of passengers expected after ‘Undas’

An increased number of passengers is anticipated from Sunday afternoon to Monday, November 3, due to the Undas long weekend and the return to work or school, authorities said.

The Philippine Coast Guard (PCG) reported that between 12 a.m. and 6 a.m. at the conclusion of the Undas holidays, there were 10,772 outbound passengers and 10,326 inbound passengers.

To accommodate the expected influx of travelers, the PCG will maintain a heightened alert status until November 4.

In terms of air travel, the Ninoy Aquino International Airport is expecting nearly 1.3 million passengers to pass through the airport from October 31 to November 5.

Additionally, the Paranaque Integrated Terminal Exchange (PITX) recorded 42,468 passengers traveling in and out of Metro Manila on Saturday morning, during All Saints’ Day.

On October 31—just before All Saints’ Day—PITX recorded 180,038 passengers.

In the Cubao bus terminals, over 20,000 passengers were also recorded traveling.
