National Capital Region Police Office (NCRPO) Director Maj. Gen. Anthony Aberin on Thursday said they will be on full alert starting October 31, as part of their security preparations for the All Saints and All Souls Day observance, or Undas, and scheduled protest rallies in key areas across the region.
In a statement, Aberin said a total of 8, 575 PNP personnel will be deployed across Metro Manila during Undas 2025. These include 8,323 uniformed PNP personnel from the five police districts, the regional headquarters, the Regional Mobile Force Battalion (RMFB), and 252 from support units.
He said the deployment and operational measures have been comprehensively mapped to cover cemeteries and columbaria, transportation hubs such as bus terminals, train stations, airports/seaports, places of worship, major highways, rally convergence points, and other areas of public congregation.
Police assistance desks, inspection teams, and mobile patrols will also be strategically positioned to guide the public, manage vehicular flow, and respond swiftly to emergencies.
Aberin also said the additional personnel will be assigned to continuous anti-criminality operations, beat and mobile patrols, law enforcement checkpoints, area and route security, traffic management, and medical teams to ensure a coordinated and effective presence across the metropolis.
The NCRPO chief emphasized that readiness goes beyond presence—it requires precision and compassion.
“Our preparation for Undas is anchored on anticipation, coordination, and compassion. Even with simultaneous rallies expected across the region, our goal is to maintain peace without compromising the rights of the people,” Aberin said.
