The Malabon City government on Thursday reported that more than 494 families or 1,906 individuals are currently in various evacuation centers after the widespread fire in Brgy. Catmon on Wednesday evening.
The incident lasted for hours before being contained due to the extent of the burning locations.

Fire out was finally declared around 11:58 p.m. due to the efforts of firefighters, volunteers, and responders, whom the Malabon local government unit (LGU) recognized in its post.
No fatalities were recorded, while those who sustained minor injuries received immediate care.
Meanwhile, affected residents are receiving food, water, medical assistance, and temporary shelter in evacuation sites in Brgys. Catmon, Acacia, and Tonsuya.
