The Australian government has provided over ₱23 million worth of relief supplies to communities hit by recent earthquakes and typhoons, Ambassador Marc Innes-Brown announced.
In a post on X, Brown said the assistance was delivered through partnerships with UN agencies and humanitarian organizations, including the World Food Programme and the Philippine Red Cross.
“Proud to provide support where it is needed,” he said, commending the Philippines for its quick response and “extraordinary resilience” amid multiple disasters.
The World Food Programme said it is working closely with the government to ensure logistics and food aid reach affected families in the first hours after disasters.
Other countries, including the United Arab Emirates and Canada, also extended humanitarian support to victims in Cebu and other hard-hit provinces.
