The second day of Manila Fashion Week 2025 continued at SM Aura Premier with back-to-back showcases from OXGN and Chris Nick, highlighting the intersection of streetwear and high fashion that defines the evolving landscape of Filipino design.
At Samsung Hall, OXGN delivered its signature street-luxe aesthetic with a collection that mixed utility, rebellion, and effortless cool. The brand played with textures and silhouettes that reflected a global sensibility grounded in Filipino youth culture.
“We really want to stick to our roots, and that is streetwear,” the OXGN team said. “We’re treating this showcase as our reintroduction—that even with so many streetwear brands today, we’re still here and we’re still strong. We’re here to share and bring forward not just the streetwear aesthetic but also the communities that build it.”

Later in the evening, designer Chris Nick presented a collection defined by structure and sensuality at the Fashion Tent. Known for his sharp tailoring and modern take on femininity, Nick explored bold contrasts in monochrome and neutral tones.
“It’s essentially inspired by the hedonistic things I love to do—this collection specifically is sex club centric,” Nick said. “The different shades of browns represent different skin tones, while the ivory shades represent—you know. The tuxedo will always be part of my work, so this season we have different variations of it mixed into contrasting aspects. It’s polished and put together, elegant yet raunchy and sensual in the most Chris Nick way.”

OXGN’s presentation emphasized shared human experiences through fashion. “We want people to feel that no matter how different we are, no matter how our experiences differ, we all share something basic—our need to breathe, our need for oxygen,” the brand said.
Nick offered a more provocative takeaway. “Sex sells—it has never left the fashion world in my opinion,” he said. “Chris Nick knows great sex, and you should too.”
The dual presentations underscored the diversity and creativity of Filipino designers as Manila Fashion Week 2025 continued its four-day run at SM Aura Premier. The event opened on Oct. 16 with Andrea Tetangco and Viktor, followed by OXGN and Chris Nick on Oct. 17, Iñigo and DBTK on Oct. 18, and will conclude on Oct. 19 with Viña Romero, Randolf, and an after party at Samsung Hall.
