CEBU—Cebu Governor Pamela Baricuatro met with the officers and members of the Provincial Youth Development Council (PYDC) and presented her 8-Point Youth Development Agenda during a pre-convening meeting held last week at the capitol.
The meeting gathered 15 registered youth and youth-serving organizations across the province to mark the full activation of the PYDC.
“I am here for you—to pave the way for a better future for Cebu, so that the coming generations will no longer experience the hardship and poverty being experienced today,” Baricuatro told the youth leaders in her speech.
The PYDC is a multi-sectoral youth association headed by the Sangguniang Kabataan (SK) Federation President and composed of representatives of youth and youth serving organizations in Cebu.

Among the groups represented at the meeting were NegosYouth, which promotes youth entrepreneurship and financial literacy while GreenGen-Youth advocates a Greener Cebu, encourages environmental sustainability and climate action.
Kabataan Techie pushes for digital empowerment, responsible social media use, and AI literacy. SugBuhat & Turismo Kabataan promotes creativity, innovation, and youth participation in advancing local culture and tourism.

“My dream is to pass on to you the commitment to good governance through the PYDC, so that the province will have more good leaders in the future,” Baricuatro said, adding that her plans aim to prepare the youth for leadership and instill in them the values of integrity and public service.
