Maya Philippines Inc. and Maya Bank Inc. have renewed their International Organization for Standardization (ISO) certifications for information security management systems (ISO 27001) and privacy information management (ISO 27701), affirming their commitment to uphold global standards in data protection and privacy.
The financial technology companies said the certifications confirm their disciplined approach to safeguarding customer data and ensuring their trust mechanisms scale with their technology.
“At Maya, security is central to every product we design, putting protection directly in our customers’ hands,” said Maya Group chief information security officer Ken Baylor.
He said the ISO 27001 and 27701 certifications validate this discipline, meaning customer data is protected to global standards.
Maya highlighted its in-app security center as a key feature, granting users real-time control over their accounts, which allows them to freeze or unfreeze cards, set limits and instantly manage channels using biometric logins, one-time passwords and artificial intelligence-driven fraud monitoring.
