The Land Transportation Office on Thursday towed a Lamborghini vehicle belonging to a Korean national for the absence of a license plate despite the car’s legitimate registration with the agency.
“It’s been two years — the license plate is still sealed and not attached,” LTO chief Markus Lacanilao said.
Based on LTO records, the sports car was imported by Frebel Enterprises and Auto Art, both companies supplied luxury vehicles to the Discaya couple, who are currently under investigation for their involvement in anomalous flood control projects.
An enforcement team from the LTO accosted the Korean at the Bonifacio Global City, Taguig City, and confiscated the vehicle after sighting that the car had no attached license plate.
The vehicle has been registered with the LTO since 2024, but the license plate remains unattached.
“This is part of the strict implementation of the non-settlement policy under my seven-point priority framework,” Lacanilao said.
