The Philippine Air Force (PAF) on Sunday airlifted essential relief items to Davao Oriental to aid communities affected by the recent series of earthquakes.
In a statement, the PAF said its Tactical Operations Wing Central (TOWCEN), in coordination with the Philippine Red Cross (PRC), transported 151 family tents, 80 water containers, 250 kitchen sets, five bales of mosquito nets, and 42 bales of plastic mats using its C-130 and NC212i aircraft.
PRC also provided 147 portable tents, 10 family tents, and assorted relief items, including mosquito nets, blankets, plastic mats, and kitchen sets, destined for communities affected by the recent earthquake in the area.
The relief cargo was flown from Brig. Gen. Benito N. Ebuen Air Base in Cebu to Mati City, Davao Oriental, in support of ongoing humanitarian operations in the quake-hit province.
“The PAF remains steadfast in its mission to provide both airlift and ground support capabilities in times of need,” the service said in a statement.
