Ghosting star and Pinoy Big Brother Season 11 winner Fyang Smith is taking her lessons to heart—crediting her mom, Myrna Smith, and onscreen partner JM Ibarra for helping her grow and stay grounded amid past controversies.
In an interview with Ogie Diaz, Fyang revealed that her mom and JM are the first to call her out whenever she makes mistakes.
“Ang lagi nagcall out sa akin ay Mommy ko and si JM. Sanib pwersa po sila… Every time na may issue ako, sila po yung unang nagsasabi sa akin na, ‘Anak, may pangalan ka na, alagaan mo naman,’” she shared.
Fyang described JM as a steady influence who always gives honest feedback. “Sobrang tino niyang lalaki. Before pa ako pagalitan ng ibang tao, siya talaga yung una,” she said, adding that he corrects her privately and with kindness.

The actress also admitted learning from her past controversies. “Yung mga nangyari sa akin before, mali ko iyon and inaamin ko po iyon… Sabi ko sa sarili ko, it’s time for a change,” she said.
Fyang added that she’s now focused on personal growth and taking constructive criticism to heart.
“Every time na may issue ako, I’m very, very sorry. After noon, hindi na pwede iyon — kailangan may tuldok,” she said.
