Jake Zyrus revisits his Charice era in heartfelt ‘Roots’ EP

Jake Zyrus is taking a trip down memory lane through his upcoming EP, Roots, which will feature reimagined versions of some of his most beloved songs from his early career.

“Six tracks. Favorites. Nostalgia. Old shadows, new skin. November 2025. ROOTS,” Jake announced on Instagram.

The project will include new renditions of Reset, Nobody’s Singing to Me, Wherever You Are (featuring Cheesa), Yakap, Lighthouse, and his global hit Pyramid—tracks he first recorded under his former name, Charice.

“Same songs, different heart,” he added, hinting at how the collection reflects his personal and artistic evolution.

Roots will be Jake’s latest release since his 2022 single 4 Life, a song he wrote, produced, and mixed himself. The Filipino singer, who rose to international fame for his powerhouse vocals, has since embraced his true identity and become a proud advocate for the LGBTQIA+ community.

“Happy Pride Month—a little reminder that it’s okay to be myself,” he wrote in a past Instagram post, reflecting the same authenticity now driving his new music.
