Senator Jinggoy Estrada on Tuesday filed a perjury case against ex-Bulacan first district assistant engineer Brice Hernandez before the Quezon City Prosecutor’s Office for tagging him in the anomalous flood control projects.
He maintained his innocence, denying Hernandez’s allegations that he inserted P355 million worth of flood control projects in the 2025 national budget and received a 30 percent kickback claim.
The lawmaker insisted that the accusations made against him were simply imaginary and fabricated.
Estrada challenged Hernandez to take a lie detector test.
Citing any line item may be associated with any senator, he said the P355 million in flood control projects cannot be attributed to him.
To recall, Hernandez, during a legislative inquiry, linked Estrada and Senator Joel Villanueva to the anomalous flood control projects, saying both lawmakers received 30% in standard operating procedure from the projects.
