Massage, saunas, heated pools, and even arcade games come together at Emgrand Spa, a new 10,000-square-meter wellness complex in Pasay. Opened this year, it introduces a Chinese-style spa experience designed for both Filipinos and foreign visitors.
The facility spans six floors. The third floor houses saunas, bathing areas, and an ice tap for cold therapy, while the sixth floor includes a common sauna with lower heat levels, an arcade, and a smoking area.

Other floors have rooms where guests can choose their preferred type of massage.
Visitors may opt for standard entry or upgrade to VIP packages, which provide private showers and added amenities for a more secluded experience. Prices differ by tier, but all packages include access to the main facilities. A buffet featuring Chinese, Filipino, Korean, and Japanese fare is also part of the offering.

The concept for Emgrand Spa traces back to Liaoning province in northern China, where the founder, Mr. Dong, experienced large-scale wellness centers that combined multiple services in one place.
Having lived in the Philippines for several years, he introduced the concept in Manila with the goal of creating a place where families and groups could linger and enjoy time together. Keeping the spa open 24 hours supports that idea, giving guests the flexibility to use the facilities without worrying about closing hours.

While the spa first drew mainly Chinese guests, it now attracts a mix of Filipinos, Koreans, and other foreigners. The buffet and massage services remain top favorites, with a team consisting of both Filipino and Chinese staff. Its distinguishing features are its size, variety of amenities, and modern design, which surpass what smaller, traditional spas in the city provide.
Serving as the leading branch of the Emgrand brand, this facility has the potential to drive future growth if the model proves successful.
Opinions on pricing vary, with some viewing it as expensive, while others value the extensive services and amenities provided. With positive reviews and growing local interest, Emgrand Spa is carving out a place in Manila’s wellness sector.
By offering more than massages and saunas, the spa blends wellness, dining, and entertainment into a single destination, giving visitors a different kind of leisure experience in the capital in just one go.
