Cebu Oversea Hardware Company Inc. (COHCI) has launched its newest flagship store, the Oversea Builders Center, in Cavite, positioning itself to tap the growing home improvement and construction market in Southern Luzon.
The store, which targets the mid- to high-end market segments, is located in a 5,847-square-meter complex along Centennial Road.
It features 4,125 square meters of DIY and showroom space and 1,722 square meters for furniture, according to the company.
The expansion comes amid the rapid rise of residential and commercial developments in Cavite and nearby provinces.
COHCI chief executive Michael Co said the company’s goal is to provide “homeowners, builders and contractors with mid to premium products that combine better design, better value, and competitive pricing.”
“Cavite’s rapid urbanization and infrastructure growth make it an ideal location for this expansion,” Co said.
The Oversea Builders Center offers a full line of products, from tiles, sanitary ware, plumbing, kitchen and electrical fixtures to tools, hardware, paints, flooring and furniture.
It combines a DIY-style shopping format with a curated showroom to cater to both individual consumers and industry professionals.
COHCI Modern Trade–Manila chief executive Ferdinand Co said the company is “redefining the hardware retail experience in this region” by merging DIY shopping with an “elevated showroom experience.”
The new hub employs 60 people and is expected to spur local economic activity as demand for construction and home improvement continues to expand.
COHCI, a family-owned enterprise with more than 70 years of history, has grown into a diversified group with ventures spanning large-format DIY stores, malls and aquaculture.
