Comedian Ate Gay said the lump on her neck has started to shrink as she undergoes treatment for stage 4 cancer.
On Thursday, Oct. 2, Ate Gay posted on her Facebook that the swelling had reduced from 10 centimeters to 8.5 centimeters in three days. She thanked supporters for their prayers, calling the progress a sign of hope in her recovery.

“Ambilis ng pagliit ng bukol in 3days… 10cm naging 8.5 … maraming salamat po sa inyong lahat na nanalangin ng aking anggarang paggaling.. patuloy lang po,” she wrote.
The comedian first revealed her diagnosis in September during an interview with Jessica Soho, recalling how she first mistook the swelling for mumps before further tests confirmed cancer.
In a separate interview with Ogie Diaz, Ate Gay said a benefactor connected to the Gabay Guro foundation has been covering the costs of her chemotherapy and radiation at a major hospital. She said the support has lifted a financial burden and renewed her determination to continue treatment.
She also expressed gratitude to fellow performers and friends, including comedian Allan K, for their continued prayers and encouragement.
