GMA Network programs and personalities were named national winners at the 2025 Asian Academy Creative Awards, with the network earning multiple citations across news, documentary, and entertainment categories.
GMA Public Affairs led the wins. Kapuso Mo, Jessica Soho: Inside the Crocodile Cage took Best Infotainment Programme, while Reporter’s Notebook: Asia’s Scam Cities was named Best Documentary Series. I Juander: History for Sale won Best Documentary History, and Biyahe ni Drew: YOLO sa Antique was recognized as Best Lifestyle Programme.
The unit’s first investigative documentary film, Lost Sabungeros, directed by Bryan Brazil, received Best Documentary Programme (One-Off). The film examined the disappearance of more than 30 cockfighting enthusiasts in 2021.
Revenge drama Beauty Empire, co-produced with Viu Philippines and CreaZion Studios, won Best Cinematography (Fiction). Green Bones, from GMA Public Affairs and GMA Pictures, also picked up honors, with Dennis Trillo named Best Actor in a Leading Role and National Artist Ricky Lee and Angeli Atienza awarded Best Screenplay.
GMA Integrated News scored back-to-back wins. Its election campaign, Eleksyonaryo: The Dapat Totoo Digital Exclusives, won Best Short Form (Scripted), while DigiDokyu: The Rice God of the Cordillera was awarded Best Short Form (Unscripted).
In entertainment, Dingdong Dantes was named Best Entertainment Host for Family Feud Philippines. Pepito Manaloto: Tuloy Ang Kuwento was recognized as Best Comedy Program, Stars on the Floor won Best Music or Dance Programme, and The Voice Kids, produced with ITV Studios, won Best Adaptation of an Existing Format (Non-Scripted).
“Gemini,” with music by Anjo Baranquel and Julie Anne San Jose, won Best Theme Song or Title Theme for the GMA and Viu Philippines murder mystery Slay.
The Asian Academy Creative Awards recognizes creative excellence from 17 nations in the Asia-Pacific content industry. The national winners will represent the Philippines at the Grand Awards Gala in Singapore in December.
