Chie Filomeno has called on the public to stop spreading rumors about her personal life following humors of her breakup with actor Jake Cuenca and speculation linking her to businessman Matthew Lhuillier of Cebu’s prominent Lhuillier family.
On Monday, Sept. 29, Chie took to her Instagram story asking to respect her privacy amid issues.
“I’ve been reading and hearing a lot these past few days, and I ask that my past relationship, my present life, and the Lhuillier family be left out of this issue. They don’t deserve to be dragged into something that has nothing to do with them,” Chie wrote.
The actress further appealed to the public to refrain from speculation.
“No further statements will be made at this time, and I kindly ask that people refrain from speculation or intrusions into my private affairs. Thank you for your understanding and cooperation,” she added.
Chie reminded her followers that her personal life should remain off-limits.
“I may be a public figure, but I am not public property. I ask that my private life remain private,” Chie continued.
Chie confirmed that she was dating Jake in August 2023.
