Kapuso actress Shuvee Etrata has deactivated her X account after old posts and a video resurfaced, sparking backlash online.
Netizens noticed earlier this week that the former Pinoy Big Brother: Celebrity Collab Edition housemate’s account was no longer accessible.
The controversy began when her past remarks defending a politician recirculated on social media.
While Etrata chose to step back from X, she remains active on Instagram, where she recently posted photos along with a reassuring message: “Padayon lang ta (Let’s just keep going).”
Etrata had earlier issued an apology, admitting that her past statements caused hurt.
“I understand that what I said in the past caused hurt to some, and I take responsibility for it,” she said, vowing to learn and grow.
GMA executive Annette Gozon-Valdes also spoke up, calling on the public to respect differing opinions and focus on unity against corruption.
