Ji Changwook, Doh Kyungsoo to lead new K-drama ‘The Manipulated’ 

Korean superstar Ji Chang-wook and K-pop actor Doh Kyungsoo will headline the upcoming Korean action-drama “The Manipulated.”

The 12-part series, set to premiere Nov. 5 exclusively on Disney+, follows the story of Park Taejoong, played by Chang-wook, a model citizen whose life is destroyed after he is falsely accused of rape and murder and sentenced to life in prison. He then discovers through another inmate that a larger conspiracy may be framing innocent people. Driven by rage, he sets out to uncover the truth and seek revenge.

Meanwhile, Kyungso portrays An Yohan, whose path crosses with Taejoong as the story unfolds. The series is written by Oh Sangho and directed by Park Sinwoo and Kim Changjoo.

“The Manipulated” will debut with a four-episode premiere before releasing two episodes weekly until its finale on Dec. 3.

“The Manipulated” premieres Nov. 5, with its first four episodes streaming exclusively on Disney+.
