The ASEAN Inter-Parliamentary Assembly (AIPA) conferred Saturday in Kuala Lumpur its prestigious Distinguished Service Award on former five-time House Speaker Jose de Venecia Jr. in recognition of his key role in transforming the ASEAN Inter-Parliamentary Organization (AIPO) into today’s AIPA.
