Sculpted silks and oversized suits turn heads at NY Fashion Week

London-based fashion brand COS staged its Autumn Winter 2025 show at New York Fashion Week, transforming Brooklyn’s Greenpoint Terminal Warehouse into a minimalist white setting for 47 looks that balanced structure and ease.

The collection leaned on a dark palette of black, steel gray, and deep navy, offset by neutral accents. Fabrics played a central role, with pony-effect textures, supple leather, shearling, and heritage-inspired checks contrasting matte and sheen finishes. Sheer panels added flashes of transparency, highlighting the body in motion.

Womenswear focused on cocoon-like volumes, high-neck shapes and sculptural draping, while cinched waists and open necklines nodded to 1950s silhouettes. A softly sculpted silk dress, styled in multiple ways, stood out as a versatile day-to-night piece. Accessories echoed the garments, with sleek leather loafers, sock boots, and bags completing the looks.

Menswear featured oversized proportions, sharp shoulders, and tonal layering that refreshed classic tailoring. Functional details such as buttoned epaulettes, utility pockets, and basketweave knits gave a contemporary edge, grounded by leather boots and trainers.

Known for its focus on craftsmanship and longevity, COS used the New York stage to reaffirm its reputation for refined, modern design.
