Gerald Anderson and Julia Barretto have officially split, their talent agencies Star Magic and Viva Artists Agency confirmed Thursday, ending weeks of speculation about the couple’s relationship status.
“Star Magic confirms that Gerald Anderson and Julia Barretto have mutually decided to end their relationship,” the agency said in a statement released on its social media accounts.
The agency appealed to the public to respect the actors’ decision and urged fans to avoid spreading “false narratives” about the breakup.
Anderson, 36, and Barretto, 28, first went public with their relationship in 2019 after months of rumors and denials. Their romance had been closely followed by fans and critics alike, often making headlines in local showbiz circles.
