Content creator and actress Mika Salamanca will hold a book reading of her debut work “Lipad!” on Sept. 22 at SM North EDSA’s The Annex Atrium.
In a Facebook post, Book Nook announced that Mika is scheduled for a book reading session at 1:00 p.m.
“Guess who’s dropping by the Book Nook at SM North EDSA for a chill book reading sesh? Mika Salamanca—singer, actress, [‘Pinoy Big Brother: Celebrity Collab’] winner, and now a published author—is coming through,” the announcement read.
The event is part of the community library and learning hub’s efforts to bring authors closer to readers. Mika will read excerpts from her book and meet fans during the session.
“Lipad!@ was officially launched at the Manila International Book Fair on Sept. 12, where Mika also held a signing and meet and greet.
The book follows Mahika, a diwata who struggles with insecurity over her wings, a character Mika said was inspired by her own experiences.
Mika gained recognition as one of 20 housemates on “PBB,” where she was named Big Winner alongside Brent Manalo.
