Bela Padilla has finally spoken about her split with Swiss boyfriend Norman Bay after four years together, saying the decision came down to geography and life goals.
In an interview with Karen Davila on YouTube, Bela revealed that her choice to move back to the Philippines played a big role in the breakup.
“We had a very mature conversation,” she said. “I asked him about his plans for the next five, ten years. Do you see yourself moving here? And he very bluntly said no.”
The actress admitted she respected his decision to stay in London, where he has a thriving career, adding that she herself wouldn’t have given up everything to marry and settle abroad at the time.
Still, the breakup left her emotional. “I cried a lot,” she confessed, saying she felt the weight of being the first to bring up the tough conversation.
Despite parting ways, Bela shared that they’ve remained close. “We talk almost every day. We are super close friends. He even visited me in May on the set of 100 Awit Para kay Stella,” she said.
