Vietnamese electric vehicle maker VinFast has partnered with V-GREEN to provide free charging at all V-GREEN-operated ports nationwide until May 1, 2027.
The initiative, exclusive to VinFast owners, applies to all current and future models sold in the Philippine market. It aims to reduce the cost of EV ownership and encourage wider adoption of electric mobility, a move seen as timely with fuel prices remaining volatile.
VinFast said the program could help motorists save the equivalent of years’ worth of fuel expenses.
The offer is made possible through its partnership with V-GREEN, which targets the installation of up to 15,000 charging ports nationwide by 2025.
The network will cover malls, expressways, commercial districts and other high-traffic areas across Luzon, Visayas and Mindanao.
Apart from free charging, VinFast offers buyers up to 10 years or 200,000 kilometers warranty on both vehicles and batteries, along with nationwide service and showroom coverage.
The program complements incentives under the Electric Vehicle Industry Development Act, or EVIDA, which exempts EVs from excise tax and grants benefits such as priority registration and green lane access.
Industry analysts said the initiative is expected to accelerate EV adoption in the country while contributing to efforts to reduce carbon emissions from the transport sector.
