Coca-Cola Europacific Aboitiz Philippines (CCEAP), a joint venture between Coca-Cola Europacific Partners (CCEP) and Aboitiz Equity Venture Inc. (AEV), is building a new state-of-art manufacturing facility in Tarlac City.
The facility will rise on a 42-hectare lot within TARI Estate and will be one of CCEP’s largest manufacturing sites globally. It is also one of its most significant infrastructure investments to date.
“This new development cements our solid partnership with Coca-Cola Europacific Partners. It’s a strategic move: we need to protect and grow Coke’s market share while driving development in local economies. It signals to the market that Central Luzon is ready—ready to lead the next wave of industrial growth in the Philippines,” said Sabin Aboitiz, president and chief executive of AEV.
“Coca-Cola is everywhere. It’s the most popular brand in the world, sold in more than 200 countries and enjoyed about 2.2 billion times every single day. The brand appears in over 33 million outlets and claims more than half of the global beverage market,” Aboitiz said.
The company did not provide information about investment figures and capacity details.
Gareth McGeown, president and chief executive of CCEAP, said the project is part of Coca-Cola’s long-term strategy in the country.
“This investment and expansion of our operations reflect Coca-Cola’s deep commitment to serving our millions of customers every single day, supporting the Philippines’ growth, and creating meaningful job opportunities for Filipino talent. We are eager to continue working hand in hand with TARI Estate, as we support the local government of Tarlac and its people and economy,” McGeown said.
The project marks one of the largest single-locator commitments to date at TARI Estate, which is being developed by Aboitiz InfraCapital Economic Estates, another AEV business unit.
The new manufacturing plant is also envisioned to be the largest CCEAP facility in the country.
CCEAP operates 18 manufacturing facilities and almost 70 distribution centers nationwide, producing various brands across its beverage portfolio.
AEV said the plant would create hundreds of local jobs, attract related industries and contribute to national economic growth by strengthening supply chains and boosting gross domestic product.
CCEP teamed up with AEV in February 2024 to acquire Coca-Cola Beverages Philippines Inc. for $1.8 billion on a debt-free, cash-free basis.
