Environmental volunteers rally behind Oceana, the largest international advocacy group dedicated to ocean preservation. The group welcomed the enactment of the Panaon Island Protected Seascape Law last Aug. 29, mandating the protection and preservation of over 61,000 hectares of coral reefs around Panaon Island in Southern Leyte which is home to endangered wildlife including whale sharks and Philippine ducks.
