LIST: 2026 regular, special non-working holidays

Malacañang on Thursday released the list of regular and special non-working holidays for 2026.

Here is the list of holidays in the Philippines next year, according to President Ferdinand Marcos Jr.’s Proclamation No. 1006, which was signed by Executive Secretary Lucas Bersamin on Wednesday.

Regular

  • Thursday, January 1: New Year’s Day
  • Thursday, April 2: Maundy Thursday
  • Friday, April 3: Good Friday
  • Thursday, April 9: Araw ng Kagitingan
  • Friday, May 1: Labor Day
  • Friday, June 12: Independence Day
  • Monday, August 31: National Heroes Day
  • Monday, November 30: Bonifacio Day
  • Friday, December 25: Christmas Day
  • Wednesday, December 30: Rizal Day

Special non-working

  • Friday, August 21: Ninoy Aquino Day
  • Sunday, November 1: All Saints Day
  • Tuesday, December 8: Feast of the Immaculate Conception of Mary
  • Thursday, December 31: Last Day of the Year

Additional special non-working

  • Tuesday, February 17: Chinese New Year
  • Saturday, April 4: Black Saturday
  • Monday, November 2: All Souls’ Day
  • Thursday, December 24: Christmas Eve 

“The proclamations declaring national holidays for the observance of Eidul Fitr and Eidul Adha shall be issued after the approximate dates of the Islamic holidays have been determined in accordance with the Islamic calendar (Hijra) or the lunar calendar, or upon Islamic astronomical calculations, whichever is possible or convenient,” the proclamation read, adding that the National Commission on Muslim Filipinos will inform the Office of the President regarding the actual dates when the said holidays will fall.

Meanwhile, the anniversary of the EDSA People Power Revolution on Wednesday, Feb. 25, 2026, was declared a special working day.
