Actress Janella Salvador denied rumors claiming that she was involved in Klea Pineda’s recent breakup.
On Wednesday, Sept. 3, during a sideline interview at the 21st Cinemalaya Independent Film Festival, Janella clarified that she was not romantically linked to Klea, causing the latter’s breakup with longtime girlfriend Katrice Kierulf.
“Feeling ko hindi ito ‘yung tamang venue to talk about personal matters. Pero kung ano ‘yung nakikita niyo, ‘yun na ‘yon. Hindi po ako part ng breakup. Hindi po ako third party. I’d like to exclude myself from that,” said Janella, stating that she wanted to set the record straight.
The 26-year-old actress, who stars alongside Klea in the competition film “Open Endings,” also said that she is currently in a good place.
“Nakikita niyo naman kung gaano ako kasaya,” she added.
Meanwhile, Klea echoed Janella’s statement when asked about their status.
“Kung ano ang nakikita niyo online or kahit saan, ‘yun na ‘yon. Basta masaya kami together,” she explained.
Last month, Klea also denied that Janella was the cause of her breakup, saying their closeness developed while working together on Open Endings, one of this year’s Cinemalaya finalists.
